Mother

Born June 27, 1947, in Oxford, MS, Mother Mary Dickerson is the only daughter of the late Virgil and Lula Brown,  and is blessed to have two wonderful children and two grandchildren. She graduated from Central High School, Oxford, MS in 1965 and went on to attend Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS.

Mother Dickerson’s love for people is evident with her past work experiences. At an early age, she realized her love for children and began working at Child Daycare in Taylor, MS.  This love fostered into a greater love for people when she became a coordinator for Mississippi Delta Council in Holly Springs, MS. There she cultivated her ministry in the community. During her time with Mississippi Delta Council, she worked in several areas serving as job placement officer with responsibilities such as counseling, office management, supervising more than 100 adults, visiting job sites, job training and direct placement, and working closely with the Department of Labor. Meeting the needs of people in every area has always been her ministry. She also works with her beloved son, Dr. Charles Wallace “Son Doc”, as a consultant. In this role, she prays for patients many are healed, delivered and set free of various diseases.

Mother was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost in 1980 under the leadership of Prophet Melvin Green. She united with House of Prayer COGIC in Water Valley, MS under Supt. Moses Wright where she served faithfully for 33 years. Throughout her years in MS, she consulted with Mother Sarah Gaston, jurisdictional supervisor for Northern MS, regarding the calling God had placed on her life. Mother Gaston encouraged her to go forth. The Lord blessed her to conduct many revivals; to name a few, Chicago, Ill. With Bishop Cody Marshall where sixteen souls were saved and filled the Holy Ghost (including the current pastor of Freedom Temple Jarmale Evans), Bishop Embra Patterson, Peoria, Ill, souls were saved, bodies healed, Bishop Edward Robinson, Jacksonville, FL, Bishop William Cahoon, East Orange, New Jersey, Bishop Benjamin Collins, Savannah, GA. The Lord has done great things performing many miracles, signs & wonders.

In 2014, under the leading of the Holy Ghost, Mother Dickerson united with Supt. Robert E. Barber, Memphis, TN. God has given her a five-fold ministry with prophetic gifts for the body of Christ. Pastor Barber allowed her to work out of his church; Miracles, Signs and Wonders Ministry. She focuses on meeting the needs of the total man. Having known her for over 20 years, Pastor Barber witnessed many miracles within her ministry. God led him to choose her to work with him as his District Missionary within TN Southwest and later Greater MidSouth. She is delighted to be under his leadership and work with the vision that the Lord has given him.
